The company must have been doing quite a bit of experimentation with RAMDrives at the time, as Zalman had also produced a prototype called the Zalman FAS900A Server (Fast Access Server System). This PC was also silent, and was housed in the TNN800A series chassis... which is very very heavy.

A special motherboard is used for the Zalman FAS900A computer.

The computer is basically housed on one PCI card, with the remainder of the components connected via a backbone system.

Storage for the FAS900A would have come from a collection of larger 2GB RAMdisks. An empty PCI-X SDRAM version is shown here.
