A few months later, FrostyTech caught up with Zalman at another trade show and took a quick look at some revisions that were made to the original Zalman TNN 500A-HS2 case design. Where the side panels were once screwed onto the main chassis, a hinge was added to improve user access. To improve grounding between the chassis parts, connecting areas of the aluminum were chromated (in yellow) instead of anodized.

The heatpipes stayed pretty much the same, but the CPU block was gold plated to do away with problems associated with copper oxidation.
