Thermaltake has introduced a number of innovative and unique heatsinks in its lifetime, and the company has even produced several variations on a self-contained water cooling too. Much has been made of Thermaltake's aluminum cases, power supplies, and countless other accessories, but when we stopped by ThermalTake's booth at a recent industry fair it was the heatsinks that stood out. In addition to the models we saw then, many of which are now available, Thermaltake has been good enough to send in some shots of soon to be released socket 775 heatsinks and a large all-in-one heatpipe cooler. Shown here, the Socket 775 FMB2-Presscott Thermaltake Jungle 507 heatsink features a copper core, and large radial aluminum extrusion with a couple interesting features... namely those little holes between the core and fins.
At this time it is difficult to say if that space between the fins and core of the heatsink will help, or hinder thermal performance as compared to a heatsink of similar design without them.
