The rise above ambient temperature results point to a very capable mid-level cooler. The XPC5000 comes in at just above the 50 degree mark which really keeps it just out of that performance cooling range. Still it is a very good cooler for its size and materials. The fan is not too noisy, and could always be replaced with a 38mm thick Delta for added cooling capabilities. Aside from the nice healthy amount of copper used on the XPC5000, it is the clip which made a good impression on us. Rather than follow with the trend and use a cheap tool-based clip, the engineers at NengTyi have opted for a thumb clip mechanism. I personally prefer these types of clips because there is no chance that a screw driver will slip or otherwise damage the motherboard during a botched installation attempt. All in all the XPC5000 is a pretty good cooler, even if it is a bit on the heavy side with all that copper!
