Spire 5R057B1M3R Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:
A very thin 10mm thick 60mm fan is used on the Model 5R, and not much more is really needed to penetrate the 8mm tall copper fins. In any case, the fan is connected to the motherboard via a 3-pin power connector with RPM monitoring.

Heatsink Top:
Given that servers are just about always on the level, no locking tabs have been added to the clip to prevent side to side sliding of the heavy copper heatsink. The base measures only 42mm across, leaving 9mm or so for exhaust air to exit the heatsink.

Side A:
Given the restrictions on height (generally 28mm or thereabouts) the scant Model 5R measures just 24mm tall. The clip requires a screwdriver and at least has guides on either side to help prevent the tool from slipping out of the small catch. It's easy to engage.
Side B:
Two small flaps of copper are turned up, rather than down to hold the fan in place and probably better direct airflow. The base is 3mm thick and undercut for socket clearance. Fins are spaced about 1.0mm apart.
Heatsink Base:
The base finish of the Model 5R is less than ideal with not much to go for it in terms of absolute flatness, or smoothness. Use of a good quality thermal compound would be highly suggested.
