Things are not much better when we look at the rise above ambient scores. From the list of ten reference coolers, the 7528 fits in at position seven - a far cry from the 7228 which controls the board.

This only goes to show you what is possible with a quieter fan is never the same as one that spins faster, and noisier. The 60mm fan offers the better performance of the two otherwise identical heatsinks.

In this configuration the Arkua heatsink isn't quite on the same performance level, but rather fits in quite nicely as a good performing heatsink.

Less noise is starting to sound better and better these days, and the 7528 offers the world of noise sensitive users a viable option that works well.
