The YS Tech fan spins at about 6800 RPM making a not so quiet alternative. The fan provides good cooling, and with the case doors close, and the computer under a table would be tolerable. I wouldn't recommend fans of this noise level for a 24/7 system in a room however. L isten to this heatsink by clicking on the headphones to the right of the waveform images. The initial results seem to indicate that the Dominator 2 is much better than its previous iteration, but given the differences in ambient temperatures this is a bit exaggerated.

Compared to the other reference coolers the Dominator 2 seems to be positioning itself as a performance cooler, but we'll have to look at the rise above ambient temperature results before confirming that completely.
