The larger interface die test underscore the poorer performance of the CB-6L in those environments. Meanwhile, the small interface die tests prove the CB-6L is on par with OEM cooler performance, and sits distantly away from the amazing cooling of the Thermalright SK-6. Given the unique technology of the CB-6L we were a bit disappointed to see in come in so far behind the other coolers. In retrospect this shouldn't be much of a surprise really. The other reference coolers all use higher-power fans to improve the sheer volume of air moving throughout their fins, and the CB-6L can't keep up.

In the end, this heatsink is relegated to the OEM class pile, and while it may be perfectly fine for your average sub 1Ghz system, there are better choices out there to consider.
