  | | The
      Fan:
        The good
old Delta 6800RPM fans seems to be mounted on just about every single
heatsink we've looked at in the last month! It's loud, it's fast, and it
      works really well at keeping

any heatsink nice and cool. The 7-bladed Delta
fan is 25mm in height and rated at about 6800 RPM. It connects
to the power via a 3-pin jack (pass through cable also included)
and comes protected with a wire finger guard.

       Top:So
many thin fins to keep a processor cool. The fins are all interlocked with
one another to form a stable

unit. The base of the thin copper fins
are soldered to the thicker copper base. The shroud that the fan
screws into is not copper, but rather anodized aluminum. The fins are each spaced about 1mm apart except for
the clip trough which is 6mm wide.
 |
    | | Side A:Anyone could
be forgiven for thinking the shroud on the CCK-6035D was made from

copper as is the rest of the heatsink. To save weight,
and decrease costs, Vantec have opted to install an anodized aluminum shroud. It has
the same effect by channeling air into the center of the heatsink. Since the joints along
the bottom edge are somewhat loose it would have only marginal cooling capabilities were it
      made from copper.

   | | Side B:
                There are
17 sets of thin fins on each side of the main clip. Each of the fins are
spaced about 1mm apart and they are all soldered to the copper base. The
fins themselves are 31mm in height and roughly

0.2mm thick. The clip is really easy
to engage and hinged in two places. No screw driver
is necessary, the thumb clip is more than sufficient. The top of
      fins are spaced
3mm from the base of the Delta fan.

Base:The base of the CCK-6035D is very shiny but
has the look of something that has
been plated with copper. The two holes in the base related to a copper spacer
on the other side and would seem to relate to two pins there. The base is very flat and quite smooth,
although it is not polished. Overall the finish is a lot better
than that of the pre-production CCK-6035D however.
