For the exhaust fan to make its way into the Fatty Case, we had to drill a 60mm hole. The big 4-1/4" blade was removed and the 60mm 'baby' locked in. From the picture below of the finished product you can see we had to drill right through some of the venting, and right between the motherboard tray and side panel. A tight fit to be sure, but one that we made, give or take a few millimeters to spare. This smaller hole was a lot easier to drill and took a matter of seconds to make. Again we lightly went over the edges with a file to remove burrs and smooth things over. The mounting holes were drilled and the 60mm 120V exhaust fan installed with it's protective grill.

Looking from the inside of the case you can see the relative positioning of the large 120mm intake fan on the side panel and smaller 60mm exhaust fan that we just installed. The 60mm fan also had to be wired for 120V and hooked up to the power socket which would be making its way into the case shortly to provide power for these two mighty fans.

All these fans need power, juice, electricity to run, where does it come from? Glad you asked. We decide from the start to bring power to the case, and wire it all up. That means the case is going to have to have its' own plug.... yup.
