with a 125w heat load applied by the frostytech amd k8 synthetic thermal test platform, the thermaltake frio heatsink yields an excellent rise above ambient temperature of just 11.1°c over ambient with both fans operating at full speed (2500rpm / 62.6 dba noise ). the results are among the best in the amd reference charts, and one of the loudest too boot. after decreasing both fans to 1200rpm, the thermaltake frio still maintains a very good temperature result of 14.8°c over ambient. noise falls to quieter 37.7 dba.
