The Cooler Master Hyper Z600
Black Label heatsink ships with one 120mm PWM fan that spins
at 800-2200RPM. The heatsink can accommodate up to two 120mm fans on opposite
sides of the tower. Dark nickel plated aluminum fins measure 0.5mm thick
and are spaced 2.0mm to 4.5mm apart. Six 6mm diameter copper heatpipes
thread their way through the 110mm tall tower. The copper base is a good 3.5mm
thick. |

The Hyper Z600 Black Label heatsink is
shown here with one fan attached. Each pair of fan brackets clip onto the side of the heatsink
without the need for tools, although the brackets are attached to the
120mm fan with screws provided. The bulky body of the heatsink is elevated
40mm above the CPU for moderate clearance of nearby motherboard components. |

The base of the Hyper
Z600 Black Label heatsink is fabricated from a block of dark nickel-plated copper to
which all six copper heatpipes are soldered. Screw holes along the outer edge
are for the various mounting brackets. The base has a heavily plated machined
surface finish that is very smooth and flat, it measures 37.5x37.5mm. The
top of the heatsink is capped with a stamped aluminum shroud, note the 24mm
plenum created behind the 120mm fan.
