The initial temperature test results illustrate that the Gigabyte 3Dcooler excels on
the socket 478 Pentium 4 platform. Before we get to the final
rise above ambient test results for the Pentium 4 platform however, we're
going to check out how the 3DCooler performed on the synthetic AthlonXP temperature test platform
whose preliminary results are not shown above.
Because of the smaller die surface area in contact
with the copper base of Gigabyte's heatsink for AMD K7
processors, the heatsink will have to work harder to perform as well
as on the Intel Pentium 4 platform. Let's see the AthlonXP
synthetic temperature test platform results first, then look at the rise above
ambient results for the Intel tests after that!
