Well it looks like the Taisol CGK760172A is
going to come in as a standard middle of the road cooler on the 100W
small interface die test. The performance of the Taisol heatsink on the large
interface die is quite good, especially at 100W, perhaps hinting that this heatsink is well suited
to heatspreader encased processors

With so many heatsinks coming in under the 50 degree rise above ambient temperature wire,
the Taisol CGK760172A results are a little skewed. In any case, for an OEM cooler such as this, a temperature of 54C is not
too bad. The CGK760172A isn't quite what we would call
a high end heatsink, but it should keep Socket A processors in a good temperature
range as compared to other all aluminum heatsinks on the market.
Performance users will obviously want to shoot for a heatsink with all copper
construction these days, but when it comes to setting up 1.2GHz-1.7GHz
AMD processors, this heatsink should be sufficient. Overclocking probably isn't going to be very fortuitous, but stock
systems will appreciate the Taisol CGK760172A, and its lower price point.
