The only
real competition here for the Globalwin CAK4-86 is from the two Thermalright
heatsinks which use the exact same type of 38mm thick Delta fan. The Tocools Novasonic does remarkably
well considering the size of the fan used there, and the Coolink rounds out the
bunch with a Sanyo Denki fan of the 38mm thick order as well.
Let's have a look at the final rise above ambient
temperature results to see where things really stand.

The Globalwin CAK4-86 comes very close to the Thermalright SLK800
and AX-7, but still sits a few degrees short despite the fact
that all three heatsinks were tested with the same model fan. Never the less, the
CAK4-86 shows remarkable performance scaling with the increase of fan speed RPM and CFM values.
The solid, one-piece skived copper heatsink conducts
heat very well, and with the fan adaptor and 80mm fan the heatsink doesn't
seem to suffer whatsoever. The bar for high-end performance
coolers has been raised pretty high, so it is not unexpected that the more economical
heatsinks will come in close to the top of reference coolers without
quite being able to displace the best performers. If you're looking at the Globalwin CAK4-86
for your overclocking needs it will suite them as shown in the list of reference coolers above, but at a very high sound level.
