To further emphasize FrostyTech's reliance on cold hard facts when evaluating a heatsink, we also take Decibel readings with a sound level meter. I would say that a 51 dB measurement in to today's computers would be pretty mid-ground, as it is with the list above. With the case closed up, the only real sounds you might hear is whooshing air - which is what puts the AVC 112C81 at this noise level in the first place.
