The final rise above ambient temperature results reinforce our findings that there is little if any difference between the two fan types. We had expected more of a difference because we has assumed that the slim-line fan adaptor would chock the 80mm fan. Apparently this is not the case, but it does underscore that there is no advantage to using the adaptor other than a minor decrease in the overall noise levels.

Is it worthwhile moving to an 80mm fan with the Goliath? Based on these results it would seem like a mute point as both fan systems produce a high overall level of noise in operation, and the difference in overall temperatures are merely technical points.
