The difference is pretty severe, the MCX370-0A falls down to the 6th position in this list of reference coolers when we compare the results on the small interface die.

Looking at the results you'd be much better off getting one of the other heatsinks which take advantage of copper in different ways to provide a superior performing cooling solution.

Where the Swiftech does come out above most of the heatsinks here is in its base finish - which is perfect. Looks alone however will never be enough, so unfortunately this Swiftech gets stuck as with the rest of the regular coolers, only a few degrees above the dreaded OEM class. Too bad, it had such nice pins.
