When we factor in the ambient temperatures, the position of the D5TB2A falls slightly, but still remains in the range of a good cooler. While not quite at the level of performance coolers, it manages to stay well clear of the OEM crowd - something we honestly didn't expect this heatsink to do given Titan's past efforts.

The venerable Volcano 6Cu+ even falls by the way side when matched up with the small interface die. In the end, it is not the fan alarm, or heatsink material that matter. With the Titan TTC-D5TB2A, the biggest asset is its' good performance and very low noise signature. It is one of a few heatsinks in a growing trend of "quiet but effective" cooling solutions. To accomplish this feat, the D5TB2A moves past the 70mm fans and heads straight to 80mm, giving it added airflow, and lower possible RPM rates. All and all, a very good cooler, and hopefully a sign of what's to come from Titan.
