The A102 is not blessed with a quiet and powerful fan. No, it has a noisy and powerful fan. This is good for half of you, and a point of contention for the other half. Given the height of the heatsink, it would be inadvisable to switch this fan for one a little less noisy however. Like the A92, the Fortis A102 is relegated to the lower range of our set of reference heatsinks. The extra height of the fins does bring about an improvement over the A92, but the level of performance is still not high enough to put the A102 in the performance category. A decent value cooler probably the best description for the A102, and that at least is above the OEM class of cooling.

At the very least, the A102 is a bit better than the near by choices because it comes with a small syringe of silver compound - not Arctic Silver - but the generic equivalent I'd guess.
