Fifty degrees may sound like an extraordinary rise in temperature, and not to understated it very well is, but compared to some of the other temperatures the Akasa did remarkable well on the 100W test with the small interface die.

Overall there is one thing that we should really be considering when looking at the Akasa Silvermountain. It is a copper cooler with some good external marketing (silver platting). As a heatsink goes it is a well-built solution that offers fairly good performance cooling. It is not top of the line by any means, but its' unique approach to curbing the oxidation of the underlying copper will turn a few heads. Silver too will eventually tarnish, but if kept clean is much more forgiving than copper.
