The Model-O scores exceptionally well on the large copper die template test, and very well on the small copper die template also. With a temperature only a few degrees less than that of the all power Thermalright SK6, the Dynatron Model-O is in the class of high performance cooling to be sure.

Interestingly the tests with the large copper die template out-performed several of the competition by a few degrees as well.

The only thing I would like to see improved on the Model-O is the fan shroud. The aluminum used in its construction is very soft, and any slight drops will cause it bend a lot. Also, the use of screws to hold the shroud in place seems a bit awkward. Ideally, a copper shroud soldered to the base would provide an additional path for heat to flow and remove the need for screws.

Above all, the base finish is most impressive (even though this heatsink came without the protective cover we have seen a few other heatsinks from this manufacturer).

All in all, while the Dynatron didn't manage to take over the first place position in our list of reference coolers it did find it's way into the top 5. With its' very unique construction method and all copper design the Model-O appears to be quite a good heatsink.
