The GlobalWin WBK-38 is a noisy heatsink that stands at 70mm in height. It is 63mm in width and if that isn't enough it just looks really devilish. Good looks are of course not a deciding factor. For some people a 70mm tall heatsink is just out of the question, for others it would be the noise generated by the high-RPM fan. If neither of these two factors apply towards you, and you're looking for a competent extruded aluminum heatsink for your FC-PGA Intel chip or Socket A Duron/Athlon then the WBK-38 is an excellent choice. The only downside is that there isn't much more you can do with this heatsink should you need to squeeze out a few extra degrees of cooling. While a heatsink like the Blizzard is just screaming for a better fan, there aren't as many options for this heatsink. It's a minor point, granted, but should you require extra cooling your options are still limited. Secondly, the wire clips used to hold the fan in place would make it a bit difficult to add two fans should you ever need to. It could be done though with a bit of modding :-) Personally I found the clip a bit difficult to latch on, but at least there is a bit of give in the metal - there is really nothing worse than a clip so tight it seems like the chip could be split in two just by putting on the heatsink. All in all the WBK-38 is a great little (and noisy) heatsink for a performance system. If the included Molex pass-thru power cable is any indication, this heatsink is meant for power hungry systems on the verge of a melt down. Or not.
