intel's LGA2011 processors have a published thermal output of 130W TDP. Since overclocking can boost heat output higher, Frostytech's Intel socket LGA2011 synthetic thermal test platform stresses socket LGA2011/1366 compatible heatsinks with a 200W heat load. Furthermore, because both the AMD Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS) and Intel LGA2011 IHS measure ~38x38mm, these test results can be extrapolated for the AMD platform as well.

With a 200W heat load applied by the Intel LGA2011/1366 version of FrostyTech's synthetic thermal test platform, the Raijintek Aidos heatsink achieved a temperature test result of 23.0°C over ambient at stock fan speed (2400RPM).

After decreasing the speed of the Aidos' 92mm fan from 2400RPM to 1000RPM, the heatsink yielded a satisfactory result of 35.7°C over ambient.

To sum up, on the whole the Raijintek Aidos heatsink is a good little sub-140mm tall cooler, though it is on the loud side at full fan speed where it offers its best thermal performance.
