with a 125w heat load applied by the amd version of the frostytech synthetic thermal test platform, the Corsair Hydro H80 liquid cooling system maintains a low CPU die temperature of just 12.6°C over ambient with 58.8dBA noise (stock fan speed 2600RPM). With both 120mm fans slowed down to a quieter 1300RPM, CPU die temperature increases slightly to 15.2°C over ambient while noise output drops to 44.2dBA. In both instances, thermal performance is very good-to-excellent.
