determining the rise over ambient temperatures at time of test.

intel processors vary in power output between
single and multi-core models so frostytech tests heatsinks with two thermal
loads that represent the upper limit of each cpu family; 150w and 85w.
with a 150w heat load applied by the intel
lga775/1155/1156 version of frostytech's synthetic thermal test
platform, the Xigmatek SD963 Loki heatsink maintains a very good temperature
result of 17.9°C over ambient (53.2dBA noise) at stock fan speed. Slowing the
92mm PWM fan to 1200RPM reduces noise output while increasing test temperatures
to 26.5°C over ambient.
Xigmatek's SD963 Loki 134mm tall
heatsink was then tested with an 85W heat load which is much better suited to
its diminutive stature. Under this test scenario the SD963 Loki cooler was able
to maintain a very good temperature result of 11.0°C over ambient at stock fan
speed and 15.4°C over ambient at reduced fan speed.
Ultimately, the 134mm high Xigmatek SD963 Loki heatsink
offers up very good thermal performance on both the 125W AMD and 150W Intel
