with a 125w heat load applied by the amd k8 version of the frostytech synthetic thermal test platform, the DeepCool Killer Whale heatsink maintains an excellent result of 15.3°C over ambient temperature (53.5 dBA noise) at stock fan speed. With the large suspended PWM fan rotating at its slowest speed, 1000RPM, the Killer Whale manages 21.4°C over ambient, this time with a very low 34.8 dBA noise.

Interesting results so far, but we'll hold off on the conclusion until the Intel LGA775 synthetic thermal test platform results are in. That's next on FrostyTech....
