from the results of testing the dynatron a41 heatsink on the FrostyTech Mk.II test platform with a 125W heat load, we can see that this socket 754/939 AMD Athlon64 heatsink handles the job very well for its compact size. Both the Zalman CNPS7000-Cu and CNPS7000-Cu heatsinks, which flank the A41's 30.3°C rise above ambient temperature result, are considerably larger and heavier.

Dynatron have built a good mid-level performing heatsink that operates very well for its small size, and 342 gram mass. This heatsink would be fine for use in a 2U server or desktop Athlon64 computer. The 4300RPM fan generates 56dBA in our tests, meaning this is certainly not a low noise heatsink. If ultra-low noise levels are one of the major decision factors, there are other heatsinks to choose from. If moderate-to-high noise levels with great cooling performance and compact size are what is needed, the skived aluminum Dynatron A41 heatsink fulfills that role admirably.
