Even though the SLK-900A and recently reviewed SK-7 were equipped with the same 80mm fan, we can instantly see that the SLK-900A is achieving better temperature results already. Let's jump ahead and find out how the SLK-900A performed thermally.

With the same fans, and similar body size you might expect the Thermalright SLK-900A and SK-7 to perform very close to one another, but it's clear from the final results that the SLK-900A is simply the better heatsink.

Even with the large 80mm fan that was selected for its noise characteristics, it is clear that the Thermalright SLK-900A is still on the cusp of being labeled a performance heatsink with respect to the 100W small die thermal test. With a higher speed fan it would most certainly climb to the very top of this reference list.
