After testing the Titan TTC-D9TBcu35-R1 on the Synthetic temperature platform with several copper die interfaces we
find the follow results place the cooler towards the lower end of the
reference list. The results seem to be pretty consistent with other heatsinks in this
acoustical range.

As
we examine the thermal results from the rise above
ambient temperature reference list we can see how the Titan TTC-D9TBcu35-R1 heatsink really performs as
a low noise cooler. The heatsink manages to match the range of several other heatsinks,
and comes out slightly above with a rise above ambient temperature of 61.5 degrees
Celsius on our 100W small die test.
Therefore, based on these results we can say that while
the Titan TTC-D9TBcu35-R1 is a competent low
noise cooler for typical desktop PCs, it probably won't handle 3D gamers
or overclocking with much grace.
Games tend to stress the CPU for a longer period, making it necessary to
use a heatsink from the performance area of the list. When it comes to
surfing the web, or simple desktop applications, a heatsink such as the Titan
TTC-D9TBcu35-R1 offers pretty good low noise thermals at an economical price
point.
