The noise output of the Auras T6C was middle of the
road, and it looks as though the thermal performance may be following suit. The
initial test results indicate that while the T6C should make a good stock
cooler, it certainly won't be able to compete with other high-end
heatsinks.

Ultimately, the Auras T6C heatsink which is being
distributed by iocombo.com, cannot shake its label as
an average performer. Nearing the 40 degree rise
over ambient temperature, the T6C does well, but not well enough to give the performance heatsinks a run for their money.
It is hard
to say where the stock cooler could be refined to perform a little more aggressively, but one thing is certain, the
ultra thin copper base doesn't seem to
be much of an advantage. Heat may be going into heatpipes, but the design seems to be lacking in some respects.
The bottom line looks
something like this; the copper heatpipes and fins of the Auras T6C seem ideal,
but the heatsink really isn't able to muster up any high end cooling
performance. Instead, the Auras T6C settles for the title of an average
heatsink, not the quietest, not the most thermally efficient, but good enough to
do the job on a stock PC.
