The
initial thermal performance tests remind us that a heatsink weighing only 194g with a
50mm fan is no competition for the other reference heatsinks shown here. The NengTyi KP326 low thermal results can
no doubt be attributed to how the aluminum fins interface with the copper base. As the
fins are bonded with a thermal adhesive the thermal conductivity of the joint is going to be lower
than metal-to-metal interface.

The final results are better than what we have been
seeing from similarly sized NengTyi heatsinks, and in fact offers relatively acceptable thermal numbers on the 100W small interface die
interface. These are not the kind of heatsinks you would want to be using
for any overclocked system, but for an older machine the NengTyi P326 offers decent
OEM-level cooling.
It is
difficult to say what the retail price
of the P326 is these days, but at least users of this heatsink can rest a little easier knowing that the
P326 isn't a complete right off. Temperature values are towards the lower end of
the spectrum, but for such a small heatsink that is somewhat impressive in an
odd way.
Bottom line, while the heatsink can do its job
reasonably well for older processors, you'll be better off choosing something newer, and more
thermally efficient.
