The
initial thermal performance tests remind us that a heatsink weighing only 160g
is no competition for the other reference heatsinks. The NengTyi K613 weighs in with some of the least applicable
results for the 100W small interface die test - so we are only concentrating on
the large interface die tests for this review (as the heatsink was designed for socket 370
celeron processors).

The final
results are not very reassuring - leading us the
conclusion that the NengTyi K613 is past its prime for any
processor outputting more than 50W of power. The 100W thermal tests go far beyond
what the K613 was designed to cope with so we are going to ignore
them completely.
On the
50W, large interface die test
the NengTyi
K613 is meeting the conditions which are closest to its intended
application - cooling a socket 370 Celeron processor. In this regard the K613 fairs marginally worse than the
K609. Without any really thermal gains on any test it would seem that
the K613 is not a heatsink to consider anymore. Modified, it may have
applications cooling BGA chips, but other than that it is not a viable heatsink for
today's processors.
