In the end the Eumax B605-01 nickel-plated copper heatsink settles down in the average OEM class, and considering that the cooler retails for just $9, that isn't surprising. For that price, Iocombo.com are selling a Socket A Athlon XP heatsink which has the capacity to deal with older AMD chips which are not going to be overclocked.

The size constraints of this heatsink are pretty small (60mm x 60mm), so the Eumax B605-01 will fit every single Athlon motherboard out there, and the use of all three clip tabs is also worthwhile noting. Not a bad little heatsink, by no means the best thermal solution out there.
