I'm glad to say that this heatsink has a slightly machine sound when it is operation, and not at all that high pitched whine we have all come to dread in the last year or so. The heatsink doesn't quite qualify as low noise, but it is certainly not very distracting. Listening to the actual noise a heatsink makes allows you to hear what pure numbers alone cannot get across. To further emphasize FrostyTech's reliance on cold hard facts when evaluating a heatsink, we also take Decibel readings with a sound level meter.
