In most cases the heatsinks are much louder than the stock Intel platform, and this is no different. 56.5 dB is on the loud side even for a Socket A heatsink, but compared to the 'lower noise' Pentium 4 heatsinks, the Regal comes in firmly on the loud scale of the spectrum. Realistically, this heatsink will probably standout from the rest of the components just a little (acoustically that is).
