Sound Level Measurements:

Listening to the actual noise a heatsink makes allows you to hear what pure numbers alone cannot get across. To further emphasize FrostyTech's reliance on cold hard facts when evaluating a heatsink, we also take Decibel readings with a sound level meter. As we mentioned, the AVC Tundra 2 has a bit of power to its fan, and it is for this reason that the Tundra 2 comes in at 58.4 dB in our measurements. For office environments this isn't a problem, but for 24/7 bedroom computers it may be too much to bear for some people.
