The initial thermal performance of the JMC 400094 looks like it will be pretty decent heatsink. First impressions of a heatsink can often be misleading when the design is new, or a new adaptation of something long used. In any case, let's have a look at the final rise above ambient temperatures to see where things really stand.

In the end we find that the JMC 400094 offers a few degrees improvement over the stock Intel socket 478 heatsink. The heatsink is still in the average performance range, but it gives users a pretty good level of performance all things considered. The overall finish of the JMC SkyJet 60 is decidedly OEM though; the heatsink comes in a plain brown box, and the heatsink is very industrial in appearance.

However, as we've seen, the JMC 400094 is able to carry its own weight in the socket 478 arena, and for (OEM) $7USD it is pretty hard to compare with price wise.
