Coolink H2T Heatsink Review
This time around we have a new manufacturer on the test bench and I think some surprising results will come to light. Coolink Corp. were not previously known to us until we got an offer from www.xtwerkz.com to take a look at few of this manufacturers heatsinks. Starting with the Coolink H2T, we will be seeing an aluminum heatsink which has been nickel plated and then dip brazed onto a copper base plate. If you've seen any of thermalright's heatsinks you should get the basic idea of what were about to look at. By itself the basic aluminum extrusion looks something like the Globalwin TAK68, but Coolink have taken the additional step of adding a very simple 4mm thick punched out copper base plate. The point of this plate is to spread the thermal energy across the entire base area. Does this technique work? Will the Coolink H2T prove itself to be one of those heatsinks we really ought to think about getting for a future upgrade? Well, we're just about to find out.
It's also worth noting that the heatsink uses two fans, one on either side for cooling redundancy - at least according to the box ;-) The fans are little 15mm ones, so the noise levels here are rather moderate compared to if say the heatsink used high RPM coolers.
