NengTyi NW6700 From All Angles
The Fan:

The impeller on this Sunon fan is kind of interesting in that it employs a blade design I haven't seen before. The fan is pretty powerful, rotating on twin BB at about 5000 RPM perhaps. Air flow is good but unfortunately I don't have exact specs to quote. Best of all the heatsink can basically accept any 70mm fan for an easy upgrade path.

Side A: The copper fins which measure 0.2mm thick taper down at the center of the heatsink a few millimeters. The fan shroud hold the 70mm fan in place and also creates a platform for the clips to sit in on either side of the upper area. The central area of the fins measures 70x70mm.
Side B:
With 33 fins each measuring 0.2mm thick the surface area on the heatsink is pretty good. Fin spacing sits squarely at 2mm and the exhaust area on either side of the heatsink is essentially 24mm high at its lowest point. The copper base is 5mm thick, and plenty heavy. Each fin has a crescent shape stamped into it to produce some turbulence in the air as it moves over the thin metal surface. The raised portion is 10mm taller than the rest of the heatsink.
Side B:

The small raised area is probably just for logos, and its effect on the overall cooling of the system is dubious. That the copper fan shroud is all copper as well would have been more effective if the copper were soldered to the base where it makes contact. As it stands it is just held in place with two swaged bits of copper at either end. An aluminum shroud would lighten the heatsink and probably not effect cooling that much if at all.

Heatsink Base:

The base is less then an ideal poster model but it is pretty flat. The cut out area is for a thermal diode, and still has some raised areas. I would spend about 10min with 600gt sandpaper and give the NW6700 a better finish personally. Still, even in this shape it produced some pretty good results with ceramic based thermal compound.
