"My first attempt to install Windows ME went the way most people looking to save money will -- installing over my current copy of Windows 98. The install appeared to be flawless, and all the files came in. When I let the computer reboot, however, there was a very strange sight awaiting me. I had to face the problem that my Elsa Gladiac, the motherboard (AOpen AK72), and NVidia's 6.18 reference drivers just didn't get along. Eventually, I got into safe mode and switched out the driver to an earlier ELSA version, based on the 5.20 detonators. And that's when I found the SECOND problem with the Upgrade version of WinME."
