If you already own a photo-realistic quality inkjet printer, you may find the fast output speed of the Canon S800 not a good enough reason for switching to a new printer. But if you do not own a good photo-realistic quality inkjet printer or the one you have is well on its way to the trash bin, consider the Canon S800 (or one of the cheaper S-Series models if you're on a strict budget).
