"If you are unfamiliar with the Pentium4 or the punch it packs, you can take a look at our original overview from last November. The following article is not a discussion about the technology of either the Pentium4 or the AMD Athlon, but rather a look at a series of benchmarks that we use around here a good bit. There has been much talk about Pentium4 performance once the CPU scales above 2GHz, so instead of waiting for Intel to do that, we scaled it for them. Then we scaled an AMD TBird up to 1.53Ghz and ran both of them through our series of benchmarks to see what we got. Now, we would like to share those scores with you, along with a bit of commentary."
