Intel introduced on 30 May the new series of i815 based Desktop Boards. PC Hardware tested a motherboard based on i815EPFV with onboard video, audio and LAN. The onboard SoundMAX sound must be remarked because it has a special quality, unprecedented between other integrated solutions. Unfortunatelly this audio controller will be available only on Intel boards in the next six month.
Although the motherboard is targeted to another market we tested and compared D815EPFV with Abit SA6-RAID. You can also find several sound tests.
