"I was very shocked to see the Zalman perform so well. I knew the heatsink had a large surface area, but fan spins just enough to keep it cool enough to almost tie with the best performing Titan CU5TB. In silent mode, the temperatures on the Zalman rose a great deal, but keep in mind this is under a full load, and normal usage would not result in such high temperatures. The Titan CU5TB took home the crown as the best performing heatsink for this roundup due to its all-copper design and its load, powerful fan. Even though it performed the best, I’d have to say the Zalman 6000-Cu would be the overall winner due to its great performance, and low noise. In fact, if you set the fan speed half way between normal and silent, you can still get top notch performance with only a few degree increase in temperatures. The Vantec CCK 6040 faired well, but did not take top honors. Keep in mind this was a pre-production sample though. "
