"Wanna get a couple hundred more megahertz from your Athlon? An Athlon GFD is a device that enables you to change the multiplier on any Slot A Athlon! Without one of these GFDs you would only be able to overclock your Athlon by increasing the bus speed, but increasing the bus speed may also cause some of your system's components to run out of spec and cause damage to devices such as your AGP Videocard or PCI devices (Unless you got Abit's KA7 which can change the FSB independent from the PCI clock).
