Goliath Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:
There is nothing quiet about the 38mm Delta fans, nor is there anything to suggest that it is a light weight cooling solution. The fan draws 0.83A so it is recommended that you connect it to a Molex power connector despite the fact that it comes with a 3-pin connector that would work on a motherboard. The fan grill is a necessity for fans that spin this fast.

Heatsink Top:
Each of those copper fins measures ~0.25mm thick and is spaced just over 1mm from the next fin. The fins are soldered to the base plate by a process known as dip brazing. The blue-anodised fan shroud accepts a really odd thread size of machine screw making it an unlikely match if you decide to downgrade to a 25mm thick fan in the future.

Side A:
I personally like this clip a lot even though it is not tool free. To properly engage the clasp, a small flat head screw driver is necessary. The tension from the clip is good, and the three locking points make is more secure in that the chances of tipping are lessened. Notice that the heatsink is almost exactly the same height as the fan itself.
Side B:
The way the base plate has been machined makes it appear thicker than it really is. The actual thickness is 5-6mm, but the fins fit in an area with small external guides making it appear just a wee bit thicker than it really is. Each of the copper fins is about 74x30mm in size and finished with a very smooth surface. locking tabs at the top of each fin keep them very evenly spaced in the heatsink body.
Heatsink Base:
While the entire base measures 75x58mm, the main section has been machined down to a mere 45x47mm, and undercut by about 3mm. The base finish is very smooth, and perfectly flat - something we don't often see from too many heatsink manufacturers. Some very slight machining marks are still visible, but shouldn't affect cooling to any significant degree as they are mostly cosmetic.
