Dominator 2 Heatsink From All Angles
The Fan:
Fan grills on speedy fans save fingertips. The YSTech does well to have this nifty little grill, which is basically the same as any other grill. The fan connects to the power via a Molex connector, and to the motherboard fan header for RPM monitoring by a single wire 3-pin connector.

Heatsink Top:
The aluminum shroud holds the YS Tech fan in place by four screws above the skived fins of the Dominator 2. This kind of placement is preferable to the heatsinks that screw directly into the fins because the short stand off often helps the airflow distribute more evenly. The clip sits in a pathway 6mm wide and each of the aluminum fins are ~0.3mm thick.

Side A:
The side profile of a Skive heatsink hints the small area that makes this such a special heatsink. The fins and base are part of the same block of material and are not joined by any after the fact processes. The Dominator2 sports a total of 46 fins, each about 22mm in height. The base is 9mm thick under the fins, and 6mm under the clip.
Side B:
The clip can be engaged with your hands alone so this is a nice touch. The aluminum fan shroud is screwed on at four points and helps keep the fan in place without distorting any of the fins.
Heatsink Base:
The base finish is very good. We tested the flatness with an engineers straight edge and the Dominator 2 passed with flying colours (thanks in part to the face milling it receives). While there are some visible machining marks, they are in no way large, or set to interfere with correctly mounting a processor. As always, a little bit of thermal goo is recommended.
