Again it is worth noting that this heatsink is entirely aluminum and does not come standard with a noisy delta fan (pull your earplugs out and rejoice!). The Dynatron Model L performs very well, but not at the top of its class. The power of copper and a high-power fan conspire to keep it at bay from earning that level of performance.

Still, considering the Model L's light weight and relative quite operation it would be well worth considering for any non-overclocked system. You could probably get a way with it on an overclocked system, but it really hasn't been designed with this in mind.

Setting aside some issues with the quality of the clip used on the Dynatron Model L, the heatsink itself is very well made with a base rivaling that of Alpha.

For today's processors which see the core in direct contact with the base of the heatsink, having a very smooth and very flat mating surface is paramount.

In this regard the Dynatron Model L exceeds well. The protective plastic cover just goes to underscore the care and attention to detail which seems to be manufactured into this all aluminum heatsink.

For its' size, weight, and material, the Dynatron Model L (DC1205BML) is an excellent performer. When compared to our list of reference coolers (most of which are copper-based) physics kicks in and yields a very good result that just about any system would be satisfied with.
