The Fan:
The Evercool fan is a single ball bearing based cooler that operates at about 4800 RPM. The seven-blade design is not nearly as loud as the 6800RPM Deltas, as it pushes less air in general. Still, it is a fairly good fan.

It connects directly to the motherboard via a fan header and has a RPM monitoring wire.

Heatsink Top:
The simplicity of this design is more than obvious from the top perspective. The fins are long, slender, and cut only for the clip track. There is little over 1mm between the base of the fan and the tips of the heatsink. With not much room between the fan and fins for a plenum, this can sometimes cause airflow problems.

Side A:
Again, the fins are essentially a one-piece affair. The clip track is 7mm wide and thankfully doesn't go more than 1mm into the base material. The clip is quite stiff and we found it very difficult to engage.

Side B:
The heatsink has quite a high profile and offers wider fin spacing then most of the current crop of coolers do. Each fin is about 1mm thick and 32mm tall. Fin spacing is on the order of 2mm, which is quite standard.
The base is 6mm thick and notched out to make room for the socket cam arm.

Heatsink Base:
The base of the heatsink is the money side. If it's smooth then things are good. If it's flat then things are even better. In this case the base is flat, but not incredibly smooth. Marks from the brushing/sanding of the base are still quite obvious. Thermal compound is a must with this type of base finish.

While looking at a heatsink from many different angles can tell you a lot about how it will potentially perform, the only real way is to test it out. To test the TTC-D4T we used the Frosty Synthetic Temperature Test platform.
